Getting it right
Height and wall type matter most
Height. For most living rooms, the center of the screen should sit near eye level from the couch, which is often around 40 to 45 inches from the floor. Above a fireplace, a tilting or full-motion mount helps bring the angle back down.
Wall type. Most homes have drywall over wood studs, which is the best case. Older homes may have plaster and lath, and some condos have metal studs or concrete. Each needs different hardware. Tell us your wall type, or send a photo, and we’ll plan for it.

Do I need to buy the mount?
You can buy your own or ask us to recommend one. Either way, it should be rated for your TV’s weight and match its VESA pattern, which is the hole spacing on the back of the TV.
Can you hide the wires?
Paintable cord covers are the simplest option and work on almost any wall. If you’d like the wires hidden inside the wall, mention it in your request and we’ll tell you what’s possible for your wall.
Can you mount on brick or stone?
Often, yes, using masonry anchors made for the job. Send a photo so we can check the material and the mortar joints first.
